We do request that you please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to allow for completion of any forms before seeing the Dr Low.
Please bring with you to the consultation:

- Private Health Fund Card.
- Pension Card/Health Care Card.
- Any x-rays, scans or test results relating to your condition.

If requested to drink water please drink 1 litre, 1 hour prior to your consultation. We ask that you arrive with an appropriately full bladder ready to urinate. On arrival at North Coast Urology you will perform a uroflow study. This involves a small machine that sits in our toilet that will measure the amount you have urinated and also the urinary flow rate. The test is easy! Just urinate normally "through" the machine and into the toilet. This is an important tool may be helpful for many Urological concerns.
North Coast Urology is not a bulk billing practice .You will be charged for your consultation on the day. You will be informed of the cost at the time of booking your consultation. You will receive a rebate from Medicare this will change depending on if your appointment is an initial or follow up consult. Fees for all procedures will be advised at the time of booking.
Specialist appointments are usually made many weeks or months in advance. Please ring immediately if you cannot keep your appointment. Late cancellations and failure to attend appointments mean other patients waiting for appointments cannot be offered earlier times. Some of our patients have more complex problems that take longer to deal with than had been anticipated.
We do ask that you arrive on time. If you are running late then many other patients may be inconvenienced during the day. You may wish to phone ahead to ensure the surgery is keeping to that day’s schedule.
